Theatre goers raise money for charity

Generous families enjoying Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime at the Grand Pavilion Theatre, Porthcawl on Sunday 11 December have raised an impressive £1568 for local charities.

Mayor of Bridgend County Borough, Councillor Reg Jenkins and Mayor of Porthcawl Town, Cllr Robert Lee attended the performance along with representatives from the Mayors’ charities.

The money was raised through a combination of bucket collections, raffle and a donation made from every ticket sold for the performance.

Guests and families were treated to a spectacular performance of Jack and the Beanstalk on its sold-out opening weekend with characters such as Dame Trot, Simple Simon, Jack, Princess Tamara, Fairy, Fleshcreep, Daisy the Cow and of course the Giant!

Some of the performances of Jack and the Beanstalk have already sold out so book your tickets now to avoid missing out on this fabulous production where ‘all adults pay kids prices’. For more information call the box office on 01656 815995 or visit the website www.grandpavilion.co.uk.
