Relaxed and signed performances of Cinderella
Following on from the success of last year’s accessible performances, The Grand Pavilion will once again be staging a signed performance on Thursday 28 December at 5pm and a relaxed performance on Thursday 4 January at 10.30am.
The signed performance is for the benefit of patrons who use sign language. Rachel Williams a trained British Signed Language (BSL) signer will stand to one side of the stage and interprets the script used by the performers at the same time as it is being performed.
The relaxed performance is designed to welcome those who might prefer a less formal theatrical experience. Audience members are invited to make noise and move around as required and small changes to the light and sound effects will be made to reduce any anxiety.
The relaxed performance will benefit individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties or sensory and communication difficulties. Additional staff will be on hand to help and there will be extra wheelchair spaces. Visual aids for getting around the venue will be provided, as well as a Cinderella visual aid story.
Free tickets are available for carers that have a Hynt card attending with those who require support. To discuss any further requirements or to book for the signed or relaxed performances please contact the Box Office 01656 815995.
Come and enjoy all of the magic of pantomime, in a more accessible and relaxed environment!
