The doors have closed on the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl’s most successful pantomime season ever. Cinderella smashed all previous box office records during its four-week run, much to the delight of the venue and producers Imagine Theatre.
Richard Hughes, Chief Executive of Awen Cultural Trust said “This is a record breaking panto for the Grand Pavilion and has beaten all our records which date back to 1998! It’s the highest grossing panto ever with over 17,500 tickets sold. We believe in bringing quality product to all our venues and making it as affordable as possible. Our competitively priced tickets have been extremely popular with patrons this year and the take up from schools has been extremely high”.
Stephen Boden, Managing Director of Imagine Theatre says “each year the reputation of the Grand Pavilion panto has been growing and to have more people than ever before seeing the show is just brilliant”.
