11th Oct

For one unmissable evening join us to be inspired by nature as orchestral music, choral song, photography and the spoken word blend together to create one awe inspiring Soundscape of Wales.

The 'sound’ for the evening will be provided by four choirs including Cantorion Coety Choir, Sounds Familiar, Porthcawl Male and Côr Dys-gwyr Porthcawl all collaborating with Porthcawl Community Orchestra to perform a brand new commissioned piece written and composed by the musical director for this project Isabel Thomas.

In addition to this all of the musical acts will also be performing their own individual pieces highlighting the wealth of talent and variety of opportunities open to members of the community to join in.

As part of the mix will be spoken word from writer Mike Church and creative writing contributed by various members of Porthcawl U3A.

The ‘scape’ part of our Soundscape event will feature the unique work of lead photographer David Pearce, but will also include a variety of work from other photographers from the area.
